Can to glass mug.
The appearance was a fairly nice looking copper to amber toned color. Some transparency. Modest finger's worth of white foamy head. This sank stealthily to leave some wispy semi-filmy lace.
The aroma had some toasted nuts and caramel smooth sweetness. Subtle toffee then earthy tones. Grassiness but quaint.
The flavor leaned towards a combined sweet biscuity to toasty character while presenting some grassy to super subtle honey tones. Mild aftertaste of honey, biscuits, earthy tones, chestnuts and grassiness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, maybe a touch under with a fine sessionability. I could definitely down several of these in a session. Good carbonation. Enough smoothness. Finishes clean with a touch of dry grassy to earthy and nutty hints.
Overall, I say a nicely done Irish red ale with a touch of "American" to tell me it's good enough to come back to.
