Can to becher pint glass.
The appearance was a translucent amber/red color with a sustaining finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head. Really took it's time to fall off and once it did an intricate webbed lace glossed the sides of my glass.
The aroma was the maple up front, one could smell it a mile away once the can opened and yet once in my glass, subtle grassy hops play nicely underneath with a superb clean toffee malt bill. Some butter but not diacetyl.
The flavor seemed to blend well through the maple and the grassy hops. Some bitterness enunciates the backbone but at the same time doesn't become bothersome. Crisp malty maple aftertaste with some toffee and nutty notes.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied but sat just a touch under and having a wonderful sessionability about it. Good carbonation with some dryness but not burdensome. Finishes somewhat smooth, grassy with a touch of tobacco, dried toast and nuts.
Overall, nicely done amber ale well worthy of coming back to.
