Poured from a howler courtesy from the folks at Brewer's Apprentice in Cowtown.
Appearance - Pours a copper brown with two fingers of off-white head.
Smell - caramel, bready malts, toffee, earthy, leafy, and piney hops, hint of citrus hops as well, citrus and tropical fruit aromas, and earthy yeast.
Taste - Caramel and bready malts upfront then quickly goes into the earthy, leafy, and piney hops. The citrus hops followed by the citrus and tropical fruits follow suit. The brew is rounded off with the earthy yeast.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the malts and hops lingering.
Overall - A robust and flavourful Imperial Red from the folks at Citizen. The malts and hops are working in unison together to create a balanced yet flavourful brew.
