We never really acknowledge the artwork of beers we review, but this sleek, silver can, with the stormy ocean scene is fantastic! The beer really embodies that 50 year storm. Pours into a hazy orange storm with a froth that imitates sea wave white caps. The storm settles and an herby aroma becomes clear. You then indulge in the grassy, herbal goodness of this beer, with very little bitter bite. Not once do you stop and think about the alcohol content. Such a smooth and creamy DIPA whose white cap froth lingers down the side of the glass. After you have braved the waters of this storm, you wash ashore an oasis paradise, content for the next 50 years.

Starts off with a nice malty slightly sweet mouth feel. Never do you get the sense that it has as much alcohol as it does. One of those dangerously crushable double IPAs that will set you back after a couple but well worth it. Very solid

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Kappy's in Norwell for about fourteen dollars. My second brew from these guys. Very solid brew, will definitely have again.

Had on tap. Pours hazy, gold in color with minimal head. Taste is dried apricot, pineapple, and straw. Medium heavy bodied, low carbonation, sticky, bitter. Good intro to the brewery. Solid beer.

Poured into a Widowmaker branded tulip glass at The Branch Line in Watertown, MA. Hazy gold. Little head, but nice lacing. Not much nose. Taste is slightly bitter that turns to slightly sweet. What’s been said in other reviews that the alcohol (7.8%) is well hidden is true. You could get overwhelmed by this beer as it’s quite drinkable.

Very hazy golden color. Good head with nice blankets and chunks of lace on the glass sides.
Initially, I smell a floral hop. Subsequently, I faintly get beef stew notes
Darker tasting than the color suggests. I pick up on darker toast and then earthy flavors. Not very bitter and the alcohol is hidden. The body is richer than most IPAs. Higher carbonation, too. Short and soft aftertaste.

Had on tap at Joco's, Waltham.
Has that same zesty, slightly sour note that many attempts at NEIPAs have -- not sure what that's all about. Otherwise displays a nice melange of citrus and earthiness

The poured haze is not the exceptional feel & taste as it’s looks. To be over average in the New England IPA game you must pull pine w pineapple, orange, & citrus love. This didn’t do it. It’s a above average DIPA. But you must bring the amazing to be heard out of the amazing crowd of beers here. It’s a blessing & a curse to be surrounded by World Class IPA’s.
