Mindcrawler is a new Double NEIPA we designed after revisiting elements we found to be successful in some of our more recent collaboration beers such as 24 Hour Party People and Human Contact. Mindcrawler pours a hazy golden yellow and has huge tropical notes on the nose and a juicy blast on the palate with a soft creamy mouthfeel. Loaded with Simcoe and Experimental Hop 586 we are getting strong notes of tropical fruit and pineapple. We can’t wait to go mindcrawling on you!

A beautiful pour from a tap into a clear pint glass preceded its arrival. There's a very tightly knit just-off-white head on top of a very hazy orange-amber brew. Modestly sharp citrus hops are the dominant part of the aroma. There's also some minor contribution from some muddled starches. They provide a sweet aspect to the taste, one reminiscent of a fruity pastry, maybe even some butterscotch. The citrus bite of the aroma doesn't carrry over as expected to the taste. This ends up being one of those hazies that fruity would make a good description. There's enough of a hop bite, with the inclusion of a nice taste addition from the alcohol, to make this a decent Imperial Hazy. The glass lacing is nice and indicative of its body. Overall, it's an acceptable IHIPA, but lacking complexity, depth, maltiness and character.

Pours a hazy orange with a 1/2F head and light lacing.
Smelly of piney hops and slightly dank citrus and sweet fruit.
Tastes of dank and tart grapefruit and pineapple with a moderately bitter finish.
Medium body with light carbonation. Smooth, crisp and dry mouthfeel.
Dank, tart and juicy. A very assertive brew. Bit of a hop bomb.

Widowmaker Brewing
IPA - Imperial / Double New
Seriously juicy with fat hop bitterness and a grapefruit style lip pucker. Juicy turns smooth and round very fast. Tangy, bitter grapefruit dominates the fruit spectrum. Wet earth and acorn bitterness from the malt balance is what I'm getting. Clean tho with no funk leftovers.

A delicious, smooth 8% NE IPA from Braintree's own Widowmaker. Tropical aromas give way to a plush and smooth body with a finish that invites another sip. A beautiful dance between Simcoe and Experimental hop #586, this beer is definitely worth your time.
