Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Fort Point Market, Boston, MA

Served in a tulip
Impressive appearance. The beer poured a hazy crimson hue and was topped by a tight, creamy, finger-tall, light pink crown that dropped to a medium sized collar. Streaky, spotty lacing stuck along the glass.
The aroma was terrific and very unique. Big tart berry presence. Raspberry and blackberry came to mind. Perhaps some sour cherry too. There was an intense vanilla quality as well. Slightly herbal. Sweet overall but not excessively so. Between the fruitiness, the vanilla and the herbal notes, this reminded me a lot of rooibos tea.
The flavor profile was solid but significantly different from the nose. Sour cherry notes dominated and came across as almost a touch medicinal. Tart blackberries and raspberries were apparent as well. Some vanilla was detectable in the center. More sour cherry and berry-like tartness on the back end and the finish.
Nice fluffy, medium bodied mouthfeel. Creamy and smooth on the palate. The liquid contained a medium bubbled, moderate carbonation.
This was my first fruited sour by Widowmaker Brewing, and I really enjoyed it. The fruity notes and the vanilla melded together seamlessly, and the beer struck a perfect balance between sweet and tart in the flavor profile and thinner and viscous in terms of mouthfeel and drinkability.
