Collaboration with District 96 Beer Factory
In order to properly hydrate during these hot summer months, we teamed up with our friends at @district96beer to brew up something that will easily quench that thirst. We wanted to create something that tasted like a Pina Colada without any adjuncts, utilizing only water, grains, yeast & hops and POPULATION 96 was born. We started with a base of 2 row, golden promise, flaked oats and white wheat. From there we used heavy handed additions of some fresh Simcoe on the hot side. To round out the pineapple vibes from the Simcoe, we went with a dry hop of Sabro Lupomax, Bru-1, HBC-472 and some more Simcoe for good measure. This thing reeks of tropical fruit and coconut, complimented by its creamy mouthfeel and sweet finish. Drink this one outdoors in good company!

Pours cloudy gold with an inch of white fluff. Moderate retention and lacing. Pineapple, pear, and peach in the nose. Pungently tropical. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Juicy citrus on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. Pineapple, grapefruit, and pear. Finishes juicy and very tropical.
