TWO WIZARDS is a West Coast DIPA brewed with Cascade and Centennial through out the boil and whirlpool, much like it’s smaller counterpart, but we then double dry hopped this one with some more Centennial + Cascade along some Simcoe. This one pours orange with a thick white head, bursting out of the can with aromatics of spruce and citrus. We’re getting tasting notes of wild honey, grapefruit and orange marmalade. Wizard fight!

A: Pours a clear medium to dark copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate medium to dark golden yellow + honey + burnt orange + brassy colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall sudsy creamy foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a handful of small to medium sized patches of thick film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of citrus/grapefruit pith + tropical/pineapple + pine/resin hops over the top of moderate aromas of biscuit + toasted + caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of biscuit + toasted + caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit pith + tropical/pineapple + pine/resin hops which impart a moderate amount of aggressive lingering bitterness.

M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp upfront with a light amount of dryness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly crisp mouthfeel. Enjoyable with lots of classic West Coast DIPA hops as well as enough aggressive bitterness.
