PRIMITIVE AND DEADLY is an Imperial Pastry Stout blended with bourbon barrel aged stout brewed with our friends @troonbrewing. We wanted to brew something big and special for the anniversary so we collaborated on a huge pastry stout recipe. After this beer was finished fermenting we blended in some bourbon barrels we’ve been aging for a couple years to add another layer to this monster. Once blended, we conditioned this on peanuts, toasted coconuts, cacao nibs and vanilla beans. The result is a sweet, decadent liquid dessert in a glass. We’re getting samoa cookies on this one all the way, that and some reeses cups. A perfect toast to 5 years of Widowmaker!
