Pours a frothy 1.5 finger tan head with great retention, sticky lacing, dark about jet black color
Nose nice roast with some burnt coffee but not burnt roast, dark chocolate cocoa, not acrid but charred, baking spices, faint smoky note, spicy hop note as well
Taste brings more charred roasted malt, dark roast, French roast coffee, hinting acrid but not there, fair baking spices and a faint licorice, med spicy hops with med bitterness, some dark chocolate cocoa, very bitter dark chocolate, mild creamy note, touch of cookie dough and smoky note, semi sticky sweet finish, a hint of smooth alcohol, long bitter semi spicy hop
Mouth is med to fuller bod, semi rich, med to higher large bubble frothy carb
Overall not bad, basically where it should be
