Tried by half pint recently at the Market Porter, London. The name gives a clear hint at England football team's world cup adventure, but I don't know which team this revenge was targeted at... as there can be so... many! 8-p
A: clear, dark golden hue, coming with a nice foamy with very good retention and low carbonation--fresh and healthy.
S: citric hops dominate the nose, with flowery hints of American hops and some hints of pear-drop; the malt entry is of secondary order and hides at the back.
T: floral as well as juicy but mild grapefruity (not zesty though) hoppyness highlights a smooth bed of faintly bitter-sweet maltiness; hoppy finish with a touch of zesty bitterness.
M&D: clean & crisp on the mouthfeel, this is a med.-minus bodied, balanced, and reasonably tasty Blond Ale/Bitter to quaff while watching the remaining matches by England in this World Cup (preferrably while playing Argentina/Germany, I'd say)! The overall performance is better than the Greene King's three world cup beers, but again, this one is for hopheads and GK's beers are for more traditional tastebuds.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
