A 330ml bottle with a BB of July 2018, so it's a little out of date. Purchased recently from the Wine shop in Knaresborough. Described on the label as a dry-hopped pale ale with a fruity, tropical character; hopped with Centennial, Mosaic and Rakau.
A: Poured into a tulip. A pale golden hue with good clarity and plentiful carbonation. Yields a small head of frothy white foam that settles immediately to a patchy surface layer.
S: Aroma of bright, fruity hops with hints of weed, subtle resin, citrus peel, leafiness, grass/hay, faint spice, ale yeast and pale malt. Rather nice.
T: Tastes of crisp, fruity hops with notes of mild pine resin, weed, citrus peel, subtle zest, leafiness, grass/hay, spice, ale yeast, pale malt and a light earthiness. Very dry, followed by a moderate hoppy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and a slightly insubstantial body. Somewhat astringent; dries the palate. Aftertaste of bitter resinous hops, mild pine, leafiness, grass, earthy yeast and pale malt.
O: Pretty good; crisp and hoppy. Perhaps a tad light on the malt. Subpar looks, while the aroma and flavour are a nice mix of aromatic hops, bitterness, ale yeast and subtle malt. Body is OK but watery. Drinkable and refreshing; worth sampling if you like dry hoppy ales.
