I had this beer on-tap in a tulip at the brewery.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a cap of frothy eggshell foam. Looks pretty good to me.
Smell: sweet with a pretty strong cidery / orchardy aroma. I like a light apple/pear character in a tripel, but there's a bit too much green apple in here for me.
Taste: pretty much the same critique as the aroma - appropriately sweet and malty, but with a green apple element that seems like an off flavor. Still, not too bad. It doesn't have the overbearing alcohol heat of a lot of the American triples I've had.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good level of carbonation and a very smooth, satisfying creaminess. Spot on!
Overall: it's not a bad tripel, but the green apple is a bit of a drawback.
