OK, so one thing that annoys me is not having any f*ing clue what the hell a beer is since the label has absolutely no info about it. I only got this because I did like the "blank" part and label is like a throw back to old games. But being an Imp Stout it could be interesting. No date on the bottom, only canning code.

Pours a huge thick frothy creamy 1.5 finger mocha black head that fades at a slower pace, nice sticky lacing, pitch black beer, decent legs

Nose loads of roasted malts and black patent malt, roasted coffee, a bit of char, tons of fluffy chocoaltey nougat and some cookie dough, a little fudge and very dark bitter chocolate, a fair amount of roast with an almost smokiness to it

Taste is really interesting, perhaps coconut somehow and some pepper heat or cinnamon spice heat I think, plenty of cinnamon spice, but lots of baking spice as well, plenty of fluffy nougat again, a bit of roast but not much now, some dark chocolate mixed in but more like Belgian soft fluffy chocolate, a bit of an astringent bitterness perhaps touch of earthy hop but also from the roasted malt, a touch of alcohol, but feels a little washed by milk or water so thins in the middle. Finish is a bit drier, some bitterness, lingering Mayan chocolate and cinnamon pepper heat and spice, fluffy nougat as well.

Mouth is fuller bod, creamy fluffy, nice fluffy carb, only a touch of booze warmth but some cinnamon spice or pepper heat as well

Overall a really interesting beer, I'm def glad I got it, but I was taking a huge gamble having no idea what the hell I was getting. I would have given the overall another 1/4 point but I was angry about the lack of any actual information on the can.

L: Poured from a can to a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and an opaque consistency. There was a thin, creamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing here.

S: An interesting aroma of chocolate, a burnt quality, spices, licorice, and roasted malt.

T: Tasted of a whole lot of the licorice, some burnt, roasted malt (lots of char), a good amount of chocolate, some spices (cinnamon, in particular), and apples as well. Kind of an unusual flavor, definitely one that takes a little getting used to at first. When you do, it's complex, smooth and powerful.

F: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth, dry finish. Medium-bodied.

O: Not you typical stout, but I mean that in a good way. Quite tasty and drinkable.

Poured from the can into a snifter glass.

Inky pour right out of the can, barely making a sound as it comes out like thick oil. Faint mocha to tan head coloration that makes barely a finger of lift, continuing with a pencil thin but nice mocha collar along the edges. Top puck is very faint, nearly non existent.

Lots of cinnamon off this on the aroma. Thick cinnamon and fudgy quality, flirting with lots of dry toasted brown spices. Gets nearly cake like but also with a good sense of sweetness that nearly dives into being a bit overboard.

Palate takes an unexpected turn. Sharp and very wet bodied, not what the previous senses would indicate. Watery palate smacks a very good astringency and char bitterness, definitely more roast character on the palate than the nose. A bit of steely burn as well, but manages some dark chocolate large bitterness and good coffee flavor. There's a bit of tight wet fizz on this but luckily doesn't get too soda in character, but brings out more of the cinammon and even chili tasting heat, but not so much the quality and flavors of it.

A bit of an unexpected twist, but also jarring as well.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a half finger high mocha colored head that died down, leaving a short layer of dark tan bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass. The head further dissipated and left only a thin ring of bubbles around the collar.
S: Light to moderate aromas of a mélange of spices are preset in the nose—cinnamon seems to stand out in particular—along with notes of burnt malts and licorice.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has lots of flavors of cinnamon along with underlying notes of roasted malts and licorice. It finishes with hints of apples and sweetness from the apple jacks cereal.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has intense aromas and flavors of cinnamon, almost to the degree that they taste a little like chili peppers. No alcohol is perceptible.

Very unique. Honestly didn't know what to expect, not much information on the label.

Pours incredibly dark SRM ++. Smell is some dark chocolate, cinnamon ? Theres a nice roasty aroma. Nothing that stands out,

Taste,.,,,, Ahhhhh, definitely cinnamon. Cinnamon with some semi sweet chocolate. It actually feels like residual cinnamon on my tongue.

Creamy cuts into the cinnamon spice, they pair well.

Pretty damn good.

A: Pours an opaque thick viscous jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and very faint dark cola brown colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy dark mocha head that very slowly reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering a little more than 80% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of dark roasted, almost ashy malts along with strong aromas of lactose, dark chocolate, artificial apple, and cinnamon. Light to moderate aromas of roasted coffee, sweet caramel malts, and earthy + grassy hops.

T: Upfront there is a strong flavor of dark roasted, charred, ashy malts with a moderate amount of roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and caramel malts. There is a slightly heavier than moderate amount of caramel and lactose sweetness along with a moderate flavor of artificial apple + cinnamon. There is a light flavor of earthy + grassy hops in the finish along with a moderate amount of roasty bitterness which lingers through the finish.

M: Medium to full bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth and slick with a hint of alcohol warming in the finish.

O: Definitely an interesting beer - a rich complex stout with a the addition of Apple Jacks cereal... The Apple Jacks flavors and aromas come through but are not the dominant flavors and aromas in the beer. Overall drinks fairly easy considering the strength.
