Pours a nice golden color with tremendous fluffy white foam, that stuff stayed around for ages too which was great. Smells intensely of white grapes and honey, with some crackery malt on top. The flavor is fun, with a big hit of white grape and cantaloupe off the bat followed by honey sweetness and a slight back palate bitterness. There's also a great herbal and spicy taste to it as well once you dig into the pint, and while this can is far too old, I believe it held up quite well. The feel is quite snappy and nice which enhances the bitterness. I enjoyed this one decently cold and found it was a little more one-note and sweet when it warmed too far. Overall, not anything crazy or complex but a fun take on a pils and a tasty pint if one enjoys new school hoppy lager.

Can purchased from Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells pretty fruity – I know it’s a New Zealand hopped pilsner, so that’s gonna happen – but there’s basically nothing on the nose (as you’ll see shortly, on the palate, either) to suggest a pilsner here.
I am all for pilsners with interesting and new school hops, as long as they still have some sort of semblance that they’re a pilsner. But this has very little bitterness, bite, or crispness to it – it’s just a wall of white grape and melon. It reads as a pale ale, and not even the best pale ale at that. I don’t hate this, by any means, but it doesn’t quite know what it wants to be, and it’s not a good version of either style that its straddling.
This is light bodied and too sweet for the style, with a decent enough drinkability.
The spartan and disinterested vibes of this brewery are kind of intriguing, but this wasn’t a praiseworthy start for them. I’ll give them another chance, however.
