Blind Dutch Bockbier tasting fall 2019
(the beer was brewed in 2018)
Finally, a bockbier with a stable foam. Mainly fine with occasionly medium sized bubbles of a slight beige. Fine carbonation in a ruby clear body. 4.25
Caramel, deep brown bread crust, a hint of roast 4
the sweetest so far, cloyingly sweet set off by harsh bitterness, not nice, caramel is there but overshadowed by the primal flavors 3
body is full and carbonation is smooth 4
too sweet, too bitter, not pleasant to drink, otherwise it is very well executed but the recipe needs adjustment in my opinion 3.25
