Notes from summer 1993.
Drank from a can in Paris, France. Bought at a corner store not far from Notre Dame.
Looks yellow and has a tin or metal taste and is extremely sweet. It feels a little thick, gritty and kinda dirty on the palate. Fruit? Not good tasting but really strong. Very strong. It was 100 degrees in the shade that day. A friend and I bought 2 cans, sat down on the curb outside the store and drank them quickly. We walked around the block and decided we wanted another round but we immediately got lost and couldn't find the store again. Amsterdam Navigator!

Here is another of the European malt liquor cognates. Clear yellow in the glass with plenty of white foam. Musty smell of damp dirt. Sweet, really sweet. Disgustingly sweet, actually. Even a metallic finish to add to the fun. Plenty of carbonation, of course.
This is really awful. It's like Olde English with some Karo syrup added along with a few drops of peach schnapps. From the 500 ml can purchased at a convenience store in Sens, France.
