Grolsch Tarwebok (wheat bockbeer). 30 cl. bottle.
Brewed with both barley and wheat. Sweetened.
Fresh batch, bb 3-2012.
Chestnut colour, with a modest head that disappears quickly, reasonable lacing, good carbonation.
Smell is actually pretty nice. It's got fruits like currents and pruins, even some banana, accentuated by the sweet caramel. Unfortunately the smell is gone fast: after a few minutes it's just a bit of malts and syrup.
Taste is ok. Fruits and malts, but just a bit too sweet, not enough bitter hops. Not very complex.
Easy smooth and drinkable and pleasing for a sweettooth.
