Appearance: Clear, deep reddish gold with a large white head, thick, glass-coating lace, and moderate, fine-grained carbonation.
Aroma: Tangy raspberry, bready wheat notes, and modest herbal hops.
Taste: Opens with an abundance of tangy raspberries, with a solid undercurrent of bready wheat malt, and some earthy yeast. The raspberry flavors dominate the taste from start to finish. There is a slight bit of herbal hoppiness a the close.
Mouth feel: Smooth, soft, very pleasant.
Drinkablty/notes: A pleasant and very drinkable example, well-suited to warmer weather.
Presentation: Packaged in a sixty-four ounce brown glass growler, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.

Reviewed from notes taken in September 2007.
A - Amber with a reddish tint (cranberry is a good indicator). No head. Good clarity. No lace.
S - Tart berry fruit and otherwise low aroma.
T - Like a flavored seltzer water. Gritty wheat.
M - Light bodied with crisp carbonation.
D - It is only OK. Not at all their best offering.
