16 oz can poured into a willi becher. Pretty much as advertised - a pilsner malt base with lots of tropical fruit/citrus hops. Slightly more bitter than expected, which seemed to affect the mouthfeel negatively. Overall it's an interesting style (if this is indeed a standalone style) but not my favorite. Still, this is a solid beer that hits the marks pretty much across the board.

Marketed as a New Zealand pilsner. Clear gold appearance with a large white head and good lacing. Aroma starts on a vinous, wine-like quality and evolves with hoppier notes of citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is zesty but not bitter. In fact, there is a softness that one might not expect given all the hop varieties used. Can still pick out the lime, mango and melon among others. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated mouthfeel. Overall, does not come across as crisp and dry as a typical German pils but that's what makes this one unique.
