Robust, malty & smooth. This robust little fella was brewed with heaps of Madagascar vanilla beans, and packed to the brim with silky oats, chocolaty roasted malts, and creamy lactose for a full body & rich flavor.

6 ounce draft pour into a mini tulip pint at the brewery.
L: Dark brown with a 1/2 inch khaki head that diminishes but hangs for the whole (small) pour, leaves thin sheets of lace.
S: Pleasant aroma, dominated by vanilla, but roasted malt is present, kind of a cream and coffee aroma.
T: Vanilla forward, medium sweet, subdued roasted malt, moderate bitterness to finish, hop flavor in the realm of woody/earthy.
F: Medium-full body, oaty creaminess, moderate carbonation is just enough to add a balancing bite.
O: Good, not overly sweet, but the vanilla isn’t subtle.

Draft pour at the brewery. This is surprisingly roasty, almost like burnt coffee (although not astringent). The vanilla is restrained and the mouthfeel is on the thin side. Meh.
