Lush and luxurious. Double mashed 6-hour boil Imperial Stout aged 11 months in a Willett Bourbon barrel, then aged an additional 16 months in a Stagg Jr Bourbon barrel for unadulterated beastly barrel flavor.

6 oz draft pour at the brewery. The double barrel aging description promises a lot, and delivers that much and then some. Aroma and flavor offer fudgy chocolate, sweet vanilla, rich roasted malts, bourbon without booze (how?!), and moderate bitterness for balance. It's full-bodied, thick and oily and yet very smooth. Hides the 14% abv ridiculously well. Awesome stuff.
