Pours pale yellow with a modest one finger head. Aroma contains lemon and pine character. Taste is clean, with reminders of biscuit and wheat. No one character stands out, however.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from the Woodman's in Onalaska, Wisconsin. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had subtle biscuit and grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

The look is slightly hazy, unimpressive. Scent's lots of lemon hop along wheat. The taste is very crisp, yet sugary... Malt, lemon, the bitter feel of hops. With a slight metallic edge

Precious Material pours a copper color with a small but long-lasting lacing head. The aroma is clean, crisp, golden cereal. The flavor is clean and crisp, with bright cereal notes and a hint of sweetness and cream. Very good feel and lots of flavors. Overall, this is a very, very good Helles Lager.

12oz can best before date Oct. 8, 2021 poured into a tall lager glass.
L: Pours a transparent clean caramel gold with a thin white head. Good carbonation throughout the entire beer to the end. Some minimal lacing.
S: Sweet malt, honey, a hint of bread and cereal grains.
T: 1 second zip of orange/apple zest, sweet malt, wild flowers, smooth light bittering in the finish along with a light bready halo rounding it all out. Light bitterness lingers. The hops are rather nimble bringing grace to the malt.
F: A firm medium-light mouthfeel that is well stated, crisp, bright, elegant and is somewhat soft. It has a medium length finish. Very easy drinking.
O: This intelligently crafted Helles Lager is very well balanced and is excellent in it's style. It is malty, crisp and soothing. This is 12oz of smiling sunshine!

Golden with a decent head
Cereal grains with a slight floral aroma in the nose.
Bready but crisp, with the impression of cheerios, green apple, and a slight grassy note. Overall "clean" keeps coming to mind.
Medium thick, mouthfeel accentuates the style.
Nice pick if you're in the mood for something simple and well done. I'll look for it again if I'm in the mood.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a good-sized, white head of bubbly foam. It left nice lacing. It smelled of roasted malt, toffee, caramel and grassy notes. Sweet caramel and toffee with hints of toasted bread. Mild bitter finish.

Pours brilliant gold with a 1" white cap with fair to good retention. It has a mild hop smell with light grains and some bread crumb and very light toast. Lightly sweet rich malts lead the flavor with a dry crisp snappy finish brought into balance by a nice dose o hop bitterness. It has a medium light body and medium carbonation. This is a flavorful, very repeatable helles lager. You can drink it all evening.

Star Liquor - Ashland, WI
Precious Material is a damn fine looking drink. It's deep golden on the pour and absolutely glows when backlit, like freshly polished 24kt. The clarity is excellent. You can watch every stream of carbonation rush to the surface in high definition, if so inclined. The foam is pure white, clean and fantastically frothy. Two fingers of head forms on the pour, falling to a crown it remains the entire drink and leaves chunky, unobstructed lacing down the glass. When you picture beer this is what you picture.
The nose fits the bill. A sturdy, freshly cracked graininess gets things moving. It's clean and crisp. A welcomed cereal grain sweetness adds some depth. The hop profile comes forward with a near perfect floral quality that brings about some of those dewey wildflower notes. A quick bite of green apple rounds it out nicely. Each swirl of the glass really opens up the freshness of this beer.
While the flavor is a touch sweeter than the nose led on it's right in line. A smattering of grains make up this beer. Freshly cracked off the bat, softly sweet cereal in the middle, and freshly husked on the finish. A squeeze of lemon and a flash of green apple bring some brightness while the floral hops also provide a touch of dry grassiness. It's as crisp and clean as one could hope for.
The body has a nice heft to it without surpassing moderate in weight. An active carbonation wakes up the tastebuds and creates a bit of a buzzsaw that helps the bitterness stick. The finish is dry and the bitterness mild, helping make this one incredibly easy to tip back.
Precious Material is good suds. It's clean and refreshing with a good malt vibrancy and enough of a hopping to cut any of the residual sugars. This is a, rather surprising, example, of the things a deft hand can do with a rather straightforward (ingredient wise) lager. I would most certainly buy more of this.

Poured from 12oz can into glass. No dating information found.
Clear, gold colored body. Half a finger of white, small bubbly head quickly dissipates, which leaves a partial ring fed by rising bubbles. No lacing.
Bready, toasty malt for the main aroma. Also has a spicy hop note.
Taste is sweet bready, toasty malt, with a slight balance from the spicy hops. Has a bit of a sulfur note, and slightly bitter.
Thin to medium mouth feel, and very crisp through the mouth. Tingly carbonation.
Fuller body paler lager with good sweet notes of malt. Very easy to quaff. Refreshing.
