Here’s to the working harbor. Malty accents of chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit are balanced with a restrained hop presence in this stouthearted ale. Hold fast.

Dark roast coffee taste. Slight bitterness on the aftertaste. Love that is low alcohol

In the 2023 beer advent calendar.
This was a fine stout. A bit light on the roasted barley, and it was sweeter than some stouts I've encountered but it was never going to be disappointing. Well done!

Pretty dark, barely any light coming through, just at the edges. Roasted coffee and dark chocolate taste, but subdued and easy to drink, not too sweet

Really enjoyed this low-alcohol but full-flavor stout from Earth Rider. Had one at the brewery in Superior, WI and bought a 6-pack to take home.

Appearance: Black, ok head.
Smell: Roasted malts, some coffee.
Taste: Roasty and balanced, low sweetness, mild bitterness, roasty finish.
Overall: Saw that this beer won a medal at a big beer fest so got a six pack. Very good standard stout, nicely balanced roast flavors, mild sweetness and mild bitterness. Very good stuff!

Appearance: Pours a very dark brown, nearly black color with a moderate and smooth tan head. SRM of 22. (3.75)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of soft and creamy milk chocolate, European black malt, cream, oats, with some latte notes off the end. (3.75)
Flavor: Mild flavors of milk chocolate, lactose, oats before some latte flavors. A slightly bittersweet and coffee and cream flavor on the finish. A dry body. (4.00)
Feel: Lighter-bodied. Lower carbonation, but provides the creaminess. A smooth, creamy, dry, and clean finish. (4.50)
Compared to Founders' Porter 4/24/22: Pours a slightly lighter color and head. Milder aromas. More milk chocolate, European black malt, cream. Less mocha and dark chocolate roast. Lighter, less intense, and dryer.
Overall: A nice and smooth oatmeal stout here. The flavors are appropriate, but not distinguishing. The body is slightly flat, but provides a creamy, dry, and drinkable finish. Hides the alcohol well for 6%, as this one goes down too clean. So drinkable and clean that is the distinguishing feature of this beer. (Rating: 4.03)
*Would compare to Stockyard Oatmeal*

1/26/21...pours deep black, no foam. Very still. Faint roasted nose, very minor. Some dark fruit. Taste is light roasted malt that spills into black cherry. Slight cherry cola flavors. Mellowed bitter. Damn tasty stout.

Nice dark stout without being too overpowering. It sits well in the mouth, but what really gives it the edge is the aroma. Slightly sweet, toasty, and rich. I wouldn't call it burnt, but it has that same flavor that makes slightly overdone cookies so good.

12oz can. Bottom of can is stamped 'BEST BEFORE 12/31/20'.
Black colored body, with quite a bit of mahogany edges up to the light. Persistent tan head and thick cap. Leaves behind an array of lacing.
Aroma is dark roasted oak malty notes, along with creamed coffee, and cocoa.
Taste introduces the dark fruit, and brings along the dark roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. There is bitterness from the hops, but well balanced.
Creamy oat mouth feel. Good carbonation. Silver award winner at the 2020 GABF, for Oatmeal Stout.
A well made oat stout with a touch of dark fruit and hops. Savor to the last drop.
