Earth Rider North Tower Stout, the 2018 World Beer Cup bronze medalist in the oatmeal stout category, was aged in a cognac barrel for three months. Notes of caramel, chocolate, coffee, cognac, and more are in this deliciously complex beer.

Poour is black. Foamy, short, wet light brown head that Fades slowly.
Smells roast malt, chocolate, caramel and a hint of dark fruit and cognac.
Taste chocolate, roast malt, light char and a hint of dark fruit. Followed by cognac at the way end if you switch it vigorously. Finish is dry with a roast linger and light Char. Medium body and creamy medium carbonation.
I probably wouldn't be able to tell this was barrel-aged if I wasn't told this.
