The life of the party! Earth Rider’s Munich-style Festbier is a golden lager with bready malt character and subdued floral-hop aroma.

Can.

This is a crusher of a festbier. Most of them are good, but this was refreshing and to the German style. Bread, biscuit, toffee, floral zesty hops. Crisp and clean. Excellent feel.

12oz can. Can bottom is stamped 'BEST BEFORE 12/03/22'.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Thin off white head. Leaves behind a few spots of lacing.
Aroma is malty sweet bread, with floral and fruity hops.
Taste is rich with toasted malts, and floral hops. Has a little sweetness and a spicy bite. The bite lingers.
Medium mouth feel. Very good carbonation.
Tasty and quaffable lager. Good balance.

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, light golden color with a strong white head. SRM of 8. (4.00)

Aroma: Moderate aromas of pale malt, bread malt, earthy honey with a defining lemonflower aromas off the end. (4.00)

Flavor: Strong flavors of pale malt, honeyflower, strong pale malt. Leans more toward the sweeter side. (4.25)

Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. A honeyflower lingers. Sweet, but decently light. (4.00)

Compared to Oliphant Festbier 9/16/22: Pours a lighter color. Stronger aromas. More lemonflower and honey. Less toasted bread malt and bread crust.

Compared to Surly Oktoberfest 9/16/22: Pours a slightly lighter color. Stronger aromas. More lemonflower and honey. Less sweet honey and golden malt. Dryer and cleaner.

Overall: A fantastic version of a festbier here. Has a defining honeyflower flavor that made me think this was from Surly. Delicious, and not too sweet. Somewhat tame, but very drinkable. (Rating: 4.15)
