An Earth Rider tribute to the fresh-water surf scene, Stoney Point IPA drops in with a heavy tropical fruit nose before kicking out citrus and resinous flavors. Hold fast.

Ah, named for one of my favorite places to catch visible migration in morning flight.
Pours hazy dark yellow, good head
Citrus and pine
Light fruits, grapefruit, pretty straightforward but keeps it light and balanced
Appropriate mouthfeel
Not entirely sure I could pick this out of a lineup but it checked the right boxes, and was plenty enjoyable.

12 oz can best by date 8/20/24 into a Becker.
L: SRM 4.2 Pours heavy straw dirty yellow with a 1/4" white head that recedes to thick frothy, mild & steady carbonation, medium-thick lacing with strong 1/2 banding lines.
S: Citrus zest, tropical fruits, light pineapple.
T: Taste matches aroma plus brightly caramelized malts, pear, light grains, a touch of lemon & grapefruit zest and resin in the lingering finish. It is gently sweet overall and is very mildly pale.
F: Brisk, gently plush & soft medium-bodied mouthfeel with a medium-long length moderately drying finish. It is lightly "crunchy".
O: Extremely nice tasting. Fruit tastes are bright & fresh. Very well balanced. Not a hazy ale but rather heavily strawed. Light sweetness coats a tight hop bitterness that rides out the finish. If it were lighter overall it might approach IPL status. Could work either way. It is excellent in its style.

1/22/21...copper and cloudy. Nice thin white foam lid. Fruity and fragrant nose. Hearty dose of tropical fruits. Melons. Mellow malty flavor, fruits trickle in, with a buttery bitter finish. Enough bite to make a point. Tasty
