Aroma is classic hefeweizen: banana and clove. Tangy wheat malts.
Color is golden-yellow, with a slight haze toward clear. Tall, thick white head, with excellent retention, with nice-looking, disconnected strings of lacing.
Taste follows through on the promise from the aroma: banana and clove, slightly sweet crackery malts, with a wheat tinge. Smooth overall taste, with the spiciness and wheat malts resulting in a bit of a tart yet sweetish-dry finish. Excellent.
Mouth feel is moderate toward thick for the style, a bit sticky, but easy drinking.
Overall, an excellent hefeweizen. Great taste, excellent finish. I strongly recommend this brewery if you are a fan of German-style lagers (their food is excellent, too.)
