A deep golden, malty German style Maibock. Floor malted Czech Pils malt used in a traditional decoction mash is balanced by a noble hop bitterness, heritage flavor hops, and our local St Croix Valley wild aroma hops.

L: Brilliant golden amber permeated by streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a lacy 2.5" beige to off-white cap with good retention and a very fine bead.
S: Medium low rich, malty aromas, low hop aromas, light toast and bread crust, light grain spice, hint of dried fruit.
T: malty, bread crust, light toast, traces of dried fruit, mildly sweet but tempered by a light dose of hops, light hop spice and grain spice. clean fermentation character, moderate alcohol.
F: very creamy, smooth, medium full body, medium carbonation
O: A full flavored maibock that highlights the malt and finishes with a light bitter touch. Waldmann has nailed the texture, aroma and flavor.

This is a nice beer, tastes better when it's somewhat warm, the flavors comes out when its warmer. There is a slight amount of malty syrupyness to it. Slightly Sweet toasted bread, micro amount of butter/toffee, a little honey and floral hops.

Had on tap. One of the better maibocks I have had in awhile. Good dark amber coloring. Smell is malts, slight hops and earthy and floral elements. Taste has malts that are roasted, slightly bitter, and have some toffee influence, slight hops, earthy black pepper, soil, flowers and grains. Feel has malt smoothness upfront, and slight floral hop textures to finish clean. Zesty in feel as well!

Tap pour at Buster's on 28th, Mpls MN.
Deep gold colored body, a little cloudy. Skim of an off white head that settles to scattered islands. No lacing.
Malt driven aroma, with floral hops.
Taste is lightly roasted malts, with a balance of floral, spicy, and slightly bitter hops. Slightly sweet.
Medium mouth feel. Good carbonation.
Very tasty dark gold lager. Has the strong center of the Czech Pils malt, and then the hops add in and swirl around, some flowery, some spicy, and some add that bitter bite at the end. Solid effort and recommended.
