While they may share the “alt” moniker, the Münster Alt is not related to the famed Altbiers of Düsseldorf. Born in the 19th century as a new-age replacement for Medieval Keut beers, this straw blond top-fermented ale balances a hoppy dryness with a smooth malty roundness. A toast to the harvest season.
