A smooth dark ale born of English roots yet kept alive in Germany. Specifically in Berlin, the tradition of top fermenting ales continued long after the rest of Germany had moved into primarily bottom fermentation (lagers). Rich, dried fruits, specifically raisins and plums. Chocolate notes and a robust body. Show

Crowler Jan 2025
L: darkest brown to black with a tight slightly creamy very light khaki head, low carbo, light scattered webby lacing.
S: darkly toasted grains, chocolate malts, a hint of dark fruits, fairly malty.
T: darkly roasted cocoa malts, gently sweet, a suggestion of sea salt, distant plum, dark fruit nuances, brown bread, malt forward.
F: smooth, mildly creamy medium to med-heavy bodied mouthfeel and a smooth medium length lightly drying finish.
O: Exceptional balance and drinkability. Gorgeous malt flavors and an attractive pour as well. This beer will compliment many foods. It is excellent in its style.
