Half pint in the Greenwich Union, Meantime Breweries tap house: Light golden body, bright, clear and clean looking: a typical Helles/Pils/Lager in fact, even down to the thin white head that didn’t hang around for long.
Standard aroma of not much (from Helles/Pils/Lager): suggestions of floral hops and shortbread biscuits if I’m being kind.
Again nothing to push it above other Helles, light tasting blend of bland ingredients that give a mild hop/malt flavour which didn’t excite or interest me a great deal.
Carbonisation as you’d expect, giving it a pop/fizzy zing to it: maybe if it had been drank in a sunny beer garden in Munich instead of cold pub just outside London it might have faired better in the scoring, but I doubt it!

On-tap at the Crawford St Beehive in London, poured into a half pint.
A: Clear gold body with delicate bubbles rising to a thin, wispy layer of white foam. Filled almost to the brim, which means more (but uglier) beer for me. Ok.
S: Floral + fruity, with some grassy hops and bready malts blending cleanly with some lightly sulfurous lager yeast. Pretty standard.
T: The malt and yeast overpower the hops, which breadiness and lager east being the only real flavors. Kind of bland.
M: Creamy medium body with soft, understated carbonation. Lovely.
O: Not a bad lager, but not a good one either. There are too many better beers around London to seek this one out.
Cheers!

Drank on tap an the Union Pub Greenwich.
This was a decent Helles although a tad too malty for me . The appearance was good and the mouthfeel was good. The smell was grainy malts with a little lemon citrus. Not a bad example of the style.Although I probably would not seek it out again,

I had this on draft at the Market Porter, it is a very good English Lager, well rounded in taste and appearance. As the previous reveiewer said, it could use a little more hops, but all in all another well done Helles Lager from the folks at Meantime.

Had this on tap at the Greenwich Union pub (basically the brewery tap). Looked good, although I dont like the pint glass shape they use at this pub.
Was a little dissapointed with this beer as it was far too malty, and did not give the smooth, easy drinking quality I would expect from a Helles.
Still, better than a macro lager at a normal pub.
