A limited edition ale, brewed in Feb 2011. Didn't see it on the archive list, so here goes

Very nice looking beer. Dark rich caramel and ruby. Rich head, small bubbles, a bit filmy. Lacing is clean. Would like to see some stickiness there. But looks nice

Sweet nutty and caramel aroma. Soft herbals. A bit light on the smoke...too light actually.

The caramel and nuttiness dance well together. Rich and smooth. Slight bite of herbalness, just shy of a hop presence. A bit of a candied apple tone towards the end, kind of like a Jolly Rancher.

A bit thin in the feel. Maybe more creamy. Kind of like a nitro. But it sure is smooth.

A good beer. Solid

I got this from a friend at my wedding, i should have drank it soon after with friends, but (spoiler alert) it seems to have faired quite well for 2 years.

body is a translucent brown with a reddish hue.
The aroma is a dark roasted and carmalized nutty note with toffee and a touch of fruits.
Flavors are more full and less muted then i expected after 2 years, with nice toffee and a helping of currants and pomegranates, a touch of roasted malt, and caramelized apple.
Mouthfeel was a medium body with a gentle finish that ended a tad dry.

750ml corked and caged bottle served in a tulip. Not much of a pop when the cork came out, but there was plenty of carbonation. Poured a deep reddish brown with a finger of off white head. Big malty aroma with molasses, caramel and a bit of fruit from the yeast. Medium bodied. More malt in the flavor with caramel and dark fruit. Solid beer.
