Pours milk chocolate brown and puts up a brief 1" froth that leaves no lace. It has a murky film that clings to the side of a fisheye pint. Oh, and no legs.
Trying my best to find any trace of smoke and coming up empty. If anything, there may be an exceptionally faint suggestion of smoke once it warms up a bit. What is lacks in smoke it has in soapy fruit. It also has a light roast and a definite expression of alcohol.
It is all very mild, sweetness being the only exception. Coriander and roasted malt do show, though very lightly. Mild sourness lingers in the long finish.
A medium to full body and slick oily texture. Light prickly carbonation. Alcohol as expected, although there is a light harshness to it.
This is a bit disappointing but still a solid beer. Cold, it would go well with friends and Kansas City Brisket.
