16 oz can from Total Wine and More in Short Pump, VA the stout poured an opaque black with a tan head and limited lacing. The aroma of roasted malts was strong, with dark chocolate also noted. The flavor copied the aroma with the addition of licorice. The stout has a dry finish with some bitterness in the upper mouth. The stout has a medium body with soft carbonation.

On draft, served in shaker pint glass
Black in color, with jhaki colored head. Lacing clings to the glass as I drink. Aroma is chocolately, but I dont get any cinnamon which is what I was expecting based on the name. Taste is a similar, a little sweet. Fuller bodied.

L: Had this on-tap at Third Street Brewing Company, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of creamy, tan-colored, somewhat long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: An average aroma of chocolate, malt, hops, and a creamy quality.
T: Tasted of a moderate amount of malt (present throughout), some of the aforementioned creamy quality, a bit of chocolate, and light hops in the finish. An unfocused flavor. The chocolate seems to appear only intermittently, and doesn't stick around. Like a lot of beers of this style, it could use a bit of a boost.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven beer, but it has its good qualities. Worth a look.
