Served at the brewery in a pint glass.
Appearance: Very dark brown, very small light tan head, some lacing.
Nose: Pleasant but not strong, medium roast.
Mouthfeel: Too light for a stout, adequate carbonation.
Attack: Dark-medium roasted grain, a little coffee.
Finish: Probably the best part of this beer — the dark roast finally comes through. Little apparent hop presence.
Overall: Very drinkable, but little outstanding here — I would have hoped for thicker mouthfeel and much more boldness in the attack.
