Rookie Red Altbier is made from our own hops grown in our backyard here at 13 Below Brewery. The beer was brewed in an old Bavarian brewing tradition of fresh hopping. The hops are not dried before brewing but go from vine to brew kettle in a matter of minutes. This is the only fresh hopped beer you will find in Cincinnati. The flavor is smooth and sweet with a distinct green-garden flavor.
