1L howler from the brewpub - not sure what this one's name means, other than it employs Pacific Jade hops, along with El Dorado and Citra. Anyway, I do like uttering it (channeling either Sheldon or my own 4 year old).
This beer pours a murky, medium golden yellow colour, with one zaftig finger of puffy, loosely foamy, and bubbly dirty white head, which leaves some disintegrating ice shelf lace around the glass as it evenly subsides.
It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, a bit of rising yeastiness, some prominent orange, white grapefruit, and lemon/lime citrus esters, a hint of buttered white wheat crackers, and more leafy, weedy, and musky floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy pale malt, a lesser wheaten cereal character, some muddled domestic citrus fleshiness, hovering phenolic yeast, some tame white and black pepper spicy notes, and more understated earthy, musty, and floral 'verdant' hoppiness.
The carbonation is quite meek in its hard to get a hold of frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, nothing really getting in the way here, but a few interlopers making faces, as such. It finishes off-dry, barely, as the biscuity character of the malt really possesses some lingering verve.
Overall - this is a pleasant enough iteration of a hopped-up wheat ale (I was given a tank sample of this a couple of weeks ago - thanks Drew!), and it is pretty much how I remember it. Nice and refreshing, as a sessionable hoppy wheat ale, full stop.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
