20oz Imperial pint at Arcadia Bar - made for them, in that half the production run came here, and the other half is available back at the brewpub. A session IPA, FWIW.

This beer appears a slightly hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with one finger of puffy, loosely foamy, and mildly bubbly off-white head, which leaves some approaching storm system lace around the glass as things slowly sink away.

It smells of gritty and grainy cereal malt, muddled domestic citrus rind, a hint of hard water flintiness, and some zingy leafy, weedy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is grainy and crackery pale malt, some peppery yeastiness, fading orange and white grapefruit citrus pith, some wet minerality, and more testy leafy, herbal, and piney verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly active in its swirling and twirling frothiness, the body an adequate medium weight, and sort of smooth, as the hop treatment at this point seems a tad clumsy, as such. It finishes trending dry, the crackery malt barely holding on in the midst of that lingering hop bitterness.

Overall - this is a decent enough version of this dumbed-down style, the hop quotient definitely not backing off from attaining its well-deserved participation medal. Easy to drink, especially among the entertaining, 'the cat's away, the mice will play' employees at this particular establishment.
