8oz glass at Beer Revolution YEG Oliver Square. It's strange not having this from the brewpub - oh well.
This beer appears a mostly clear, pale golden yellow colour, with one finger of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat creamy off-white head, which leaves some decent approaching thunderstorm pattern lace around the glass as things slowly sink away.
It smells of mixed domestic citrus rind, a bit of lactic sourness, gritty and grainy cereal malt, and some leafy, weedy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is big juicy orange and white grapefruit fruitiness, an indistinct tartness (one part milky, one part citrusy), grainy and bready pale malt, a touch of damp minerality, and more earthy, leafy, and resinous pine hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its structurally supportive frothiness, the body a sturdy medium weight, and generally smooth, as the sour character isn't all that difficult to get accustomed to here. It finishes off-dry, the citrus not letting off the gas for a hot second.
Overall - well, they've gone and recreated everything promised in the name (except that the brew in front of me appears to be three dimensional). Good and fruity, with a mild, inoffensive sour essence, I'm almost regretting not getting a whole jug of it (hi Van!) from the fine folks down there in Summerside.
