Our sour blonde ale dry-hopped with copious amounts of Cashmere. These hops contribute a wide array of tropical flavors from mango to passion fruit.

Hazy peach look; no real head. Barnyard funk with stone fruit aroma. Incredibly juicy and tart; peaches and pineapple with an engrossing tartness. Medium heavy body; tangy and mildly mouthpuckering.
A very fine sour.

Their brewery might be in the midwest, but their skills and interest are firmly in the Senne Valley. But then there's a tiny little part of Pretentious Barrel House that dabbles in the Yakima Valley as well.
With Truculent (Cashmere), the piquant fruity aura blends well with the spontaneous character of wild ale as the racy pour comes with a champagne-like sprite and a pale golden haze. As a frothy, spritzy foam builds, the tangy and tart aromatics of weathered citrus, floral, funk and fauna cast a wave of earth, pepper and woods onto the nose. Notions of sea brine precedes a scantly sweet taste of taffy, wafer and honeysuckle.
The emboldened taste of yeast character overcomes the tastebuds as the beer's sweetness rapidly dissolves. Preferring a dry track, the strong vinous taste of Riesling comes with a scrubbing action of effervescence that charges the taste of lemon, lime, honeydew, green apple, gooseberry, kiwi and spiced pear. A driftwood earthiness reveals a moderate balance of oaken tannins with peppercorn, a brisk acidity and hay like hoppiness trending like grapefruit rinds on the late palate.
Medium light in body, the spicy sourness of the ale becomes more and more paramount as the acids wash the thirst away with ease, leaving a warm wine aftertaste lingering briefly on the finish. Inspired by the lambic culture but offering the finesse updates of American hops is showing to be the responsible and future plan for historic sour styles.

Definitely not a very sour beer. A light tartness, but mostly very fruity. It seems to be a hop derived flavor, but you would almost bet money there was actual fruit in it. At least passion fruit. It is prominent, and just short of overbearing. Some tropical mango and pineapple too. More smooth than crisp body, and easy to drink. I pretty solid beer that looks and feels excellent and should have a fairly broad appeal.

16.9 oz bottle poured into wine glass.
A: Nice light yellow amber body with a Small Soapy white head.
S: lots of mango, pineapple, and passion fruit it smells tart a little lemon on the end.
T: nice touch of sourness that fades immediately then a nice tart bit of mango and pineapple with the passion fruit coming in and lingering on the finish.
M: Light crisp decent carbonation
O: if this was a little less expensive this would be a daily drinker for me.
