The second release in our series of collaborations with our biggest fans, we proudly present "Benevolence" by Armando Colantonio. Armando has been a dedicated supporter since our inception. When we approached Armando about this project, his enthusiasm overflowed with creative ideas. As a connoisseur who has savored every beer we've crafted, Armando emphasized the importance of this collaboration being truly distinctive. Crafting this beer became an ambitious undertaking, as raspberry, chocolate, and coffee are assertive flavors that require delicate pairing. The tasting experience of this beer is enlightening. It's as if you're savoring three distinct beers in one. The aroma envelops the sense with dominant notes of coffee. With each sip, the flavor of luscious raspberry takes center stage, imparting a delightful tang. It finishes with a touch of chocolate.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This unique sour pours a dark ruby tinged brown with a nice head of
off white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin clumping layer, and sports
some light lacing. Nose of coffee, raspberries, and tart cherry notes. Flavors
follow the nose with tart raspberry , cranberry, and tart cherry drenched in
dark coffee with touches of dark cocoa. Mouth feel is medium, medium
light carbonation, and a tart moderately dry finish.
Overall, a solid sour.
Cheers

12 ounce can, no canning date that I noticed on the can or label. Served in a Pretentious Barrel House tulip, the beer pours a mahogany brown color with some ruby red tints to it. There's about a couple inch tan head that stuck around a little while. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like coffee and raspberries, along with some cocoa nibs and earthiness. I think the taste is just like the aroma, I think the coffee and raspberry stands out compared to the cocoa nib and earthy flavors, but doesn't quite overpower those flavors either. And I have to say the cocoa nib flavor gets stronger as the beer warms. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall sour ale, worth trying if you're able to!
