Oude Kriek, a traditional unfiltered blend of spontaneously fermented lambic aged in oak barrels. The lambic has a maceration with fresh 'Schaarbeekse' cherries (+-300g/l) for 6 months.

750 ml capped & corked bottle, bottled 03-2021, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.2%. Pink to red colour, large to moderate off-white head. Distinct aroma of cherries, marzipan and brettanomyces / farmhouse. Medium sour flavour with the same elements, also hints of lemons.

Obvious flavor of schaerbeekse cherries, cinnamon, almonds, pie, pretty tasty. Aroma was cherries too, this also had a decent bit of lambic funk to it as well.
