Quite simply, this beer is a powerhouse of a New England IPA. Notes of tropical fruit and grapefruit dominate this aromatic profile. This beer finishes with a subtle balance of bready malt and fresh-squeezed citrus fruits. This beer is born from the “Examen“ Rotating New England IPA Series.

From the pint can, it pours a hazy amber color with a nice large white head that slowly reduces and leaves some lacing. The nose gets some grapefruit, followed by the mouth getting the same, along with a nicecitrusy bitterness. Mild aftertaste.

poured on tap Thick straw colored appearance little to no head retention no lacing to speak of
faint aromas of stone fruits, citrus, floral notes
Taste is on the dank side, slight bitterness from citrus rind and peach and mango sweetness
Mouthfeel is soft and kind of chewy. low carbonation, small bitter tick and some stickiness finishes kind of dry.
overall its pretty balanced and drinks nice and easy. It's a fine representation of the style.

Poured into a 16 Snulip glass not sure when it was canned. Pours an attractive hazy yellow with a half finger sticky white head that leaves thin lines of lace, with pretty good retention. 4.25
Aroma peach, mango, passionfruit, apricot, and some grapefruit rind. 4
Taste follows peach, passionfruit, mango, apricot, and a little grapefruit overall very well balanced. 4
Mouthfeel is medium, fairly soft carbonation, maybe a little dry, and at 6.5% it drinks slightly bigger. 4
Overall this is rock solid, not memorable but still a nice experience. 4

Looks like juice. Barely any head retention. Very thin body. It’s another overly hopped beer. In fact there’s definitely some hop astringency in the flavor. Very one dimensional flavor. Lots of tropical fruit flavor not much else. I am sure most people will rate it very highly.
