Green 750 ml bottle, corked and caged. Poured into a snifter. ABV 6,5%.
Two full fingers of beige creamy head, with very good retention. Light lacing left behind. A little bit of activity in the glass. Colour of the beer itself is a really nice, alive dark ruby colour when hold against the light, almost brown when it just sits on the table.
Aroma is quite similar to the wider available, mainstream let's say, bock beer of the brewery. Lots of stewed fruits, caramel, molasses.
Taste is sweet at first, becoming sweet/sour right afterwards. Again, fruits, sugars and some spices, reminded me of mulled wine. As it warms up, it becomes even better, as the sourness seems to fade away.
Medium thickness on the body, with the sour finish being a long one. As of carbonation, I would say average.
Overall, very good beer.

Bought at Dirk III in the Bilderdijkstraat in Amsterdam. This beer was bottled in 2011 and is now released for consumption.
L: beautiful thick brown head that reduces after a few minutes leaving a nice lacing. The body is a dark amber with plenty of visible carbonation.
S: First there are some fermenting apples, while later sugar is dominant with a little bit of metallic aroma before the coffee kicks in.
T: Interesting balance of sweet and sour, a little watery in the middle and ending with some coffee.
F: not too much carbonation just a little tingling and really smooth, almost creamy.
O: Really a nice one to start off the bock beer season. Well worth looking out for this one.

This is a special bockbeer which has been brewed in 2009 and the lagered for 12 months in the bottles. This was a 75 cl bottle
We drank this beer during a tasting session. I can tell you this was a good one to drink. Poured in tasting glass the beer looked ok. The bock colour with some orange in it and with a nice bubbly redbrown head.
Notes of apple and roasted malt, cherries and othe stonefruits. I hope they bring this one out the next year!
