The brewery calls this a Japanese-Style Rice Lager, but the ingredient list on the website just mentions Pilsner malt, so who knows. The color is quite yellow with plenty of white foam in the tulip. Grainy and rather sweet with a resiny finish. Slight bitterness in the aftertaste.
This tastes more like a pretty good Blonde Ale than any rice lager in my admittedly slim experience. More tasting of cereal and malt with a hint of herbal hops. From the 16 oz can purchased at New Seasons. Dated 08/25/21 on the bottom.
