L - Poured opaque black with a two-finger foamy dark chocolate head that slowly dissipated to a film. Light lacing.

S - Aromas of roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee.

T - Sweet molasses, dark chocolate, coffee, with a little bourbon, oak and black licorice on the finish.

F - Full bodied with low carbonation. Slightly slick. The 12 ABV seeps through and sneaks up on you. The feel is married with the taste perfectly.

O - This is an outstanding stout full of flavor.

Appearance: Pours espresso colored with a thin beige head; dribbles of lace

Smell: Very roasty with dark chocolate and coffee notes

Taste: A lot of roast, up front, with bittersweet chocolate emerging; coffee, in the middle, with considerable char in the finish

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low to moderate carbonation

Overall: A really bold imperial stout; I would prefer less char and more subtle flavors

Thanks, Pinz412, for the opportunity

Look - Pours a dense opaque black with a minimal tan head. Very little light penetrating the brew at all.
Smell - Big notes of coffee, roasty malt, and chocolate.
Taste - A beautiful imperial stout with a very roasty malt bill. The coffee and bittersweet cocoa work well together. A hint of sweetness from the vanilla, but only a touch. Other more subtle notes include some oak and char with the slightest hint of bourbon.
Feel - Thinner than expected, but pleasant on the palate. Medium to full bodied, and the perfect amount of carbonation.
Overall - A fantastic imperial stout that keeps it's adjuncts in check. They work well together with a drier finish than one might expect. A great beer that is a great lesson in balance of flavor.
