As I sit in our taproom, live music in the background, the sounds of people talking, laughing, smiling, mingling; I think to myself, this is the reason. The reason I spent the last 10 years of my life working, planning, learning, building what is now Half Brothers Brewing Company. The vision started years ago after my first home-brew. The smell of the grains and hot water, hops during boil and the long-awaited taste of that first brew. That sparked the 10-year journey across the Midwest, working with 4 breweries, building a business plan, building relationships at financial institutions, the city of Grand Forks, and surrounding councils. We thank each and every relationship we have made.
The reason we built Half Brothers Brewing Company was to give back to our community. This space is for you. The stage, the beer, the food, it’s all for you. We are thrilled with the support from our community and look forward to years of bringing you the best Live Music, the best Craft Beer and the best Craft Food at an affordable price. Located in downtown Grand Forks. Street parking. High open ceiling painted black and a concrete floor. Behind the short bar is a clear view of the brewing equipment. Low tables and high tables up front and picnic tables in back. Two high back easy chairs opposite from an array of pinball machines. TVs on a couple of walls. Very solid sound system. A dozen or so beers on tap, in a standard array of styles. Cooler offers cans to go. Helpful staff. Cozy and funky in the core of old downtown.

Excellent service and very good beers on tap. Very friendly bar staff. Beers were excellent and I really enjoyed the pizza. Definitely a place I’ll go to if I’m ever in the area again.

Excellent service, while standing in line to get a beer one of the employees came to me and asked what I wanted...what kind of service is this... it is rare to find this kind of service. The employee brought me a splash of a beer then began to give me the details of the beer, which was spot on. Ordered food that took a minute but worth the wait, food tasted like it was homemade (I got the meatball). Beer was great as well. Will keep coming back.
