Pours a cloudy, deep golden amber coloration with a small, frothy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and a strong, tangy guava presence. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt, a strong, tangy guava presence and just a hint of floral and spicy pepper, with a good underlying lactic, citric acidity. Finishes with a light tartness and some guava lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for a rather nice and refreshing Sour Ale, with quite a vibrant, tangy guava presence and good underlying acidity, although I would have wished for the Timut pepper to come through a little more strongly here, which adds some very mild spicy, citrus accents, but kinda lacks any real heat, unfortunately. Nevertheless, this makes for a rather enjoyable, refreshing Sour Ale, but feels just a little one-dimensional, with the guava being rather dominant and the Timut pepper feeling a little too much in the background.
