Got To Love A Rhubarb Sour

Pours a slightly cloudy, golden amber coloration with no head whatsoever. Smells of a soft, tart rhubarb aroma, with hints of doughy malt also coming through. Taste is a good balance of light doughy malt and a good, mellow tart rhubarb presence, as well as a distinct lactic acidity, which lends a certain lemony sourness to this. Finishes with a medium/strong sourness and hints of rhubarb lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

This makes for a pretty good, easy-drinking and refreshing summer sour with a rather nice, although somewhat mellow rhubarb note, as well as some malty accents, that is almost a bit too dominated by the lemony sourness of the lactic acid, which kinda drowns out that rhubarb character a little, especially in the aftertaste. Nonetheless, it's still an enjoyable and quite refreshing brew that makes for a rather pleasant thirst quencher.
